Previously, the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (also known as the South China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, Shenzhen Arbitration Commission, "SCIA" in English), in accordance with the "People's Republic of China Arbitration Law" and "Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration Regulations", reviewed and approved the new "Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration Panel of Arbitrators" in the 18th meeting of the second session of the Council. Partner Wang Qingyou, director of Anli, and partner Ji Jun, member of the management committee, were honored to be selected for their long-term outstanding professional strength and leading industry influence in the field of dispute resolution and were officially issued a letter of appointment recently. The new roster will start on February 21, 2022, for a three-year term.

Founded in 1983, the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration is the first arbitration institution established in various provinces and cities after China's reform and opening up, as well as the first arbitration institution in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. Over the past 37 years, SCIA has actively promoted the innovative development of China’s international arbitration in the special area. Up to now, the special area’s arbitration and mediation parties have covered 119 countries and regions around the world. As the first arbitration institution in China to hire overseas arbitrators, SCIA continues to increase the internationalization of its arbitrator structure. The roster of arbitrators covers 77 countries and regions, basically covering all countries along the “Belt and Road”. There are 385 foreign arbitrators, accounting for more than 41%, leading the country in terms of internationalization.
